Creating a Mega Menu
Updated over a week ago

Mega menus are an excellent tool for sites with extensive content and categories. They allow users to see available pages at a glance, making navigation intuitive and swift.

For businesses, this might translate into better customer satisfaction and increased interaction with provided services.

Use mega menus to display different service categories or to feature a wide array of products, making your website not only functional but also engaging.

Setting Up Your Mega Menu

To begin creating a mega menu, hover over your menu and click on Edit Menu. There, you’ll find the option to modify your existing menu. Start by creating a standard drop-down menu; simply drag a menu item below and slightly to the right of another top-level item. This action sets the foundation of your drop-down structure.

For a mega menu, you’ll enhance this structure. Look for a plus icon next to the menu items, which allows you to expand into a mega menu format. Clicking this icon initiates the mega menu framework.

Customizing your Mega Menu

Once in the editing mode, you will see a default layout. This layout is fully customizable to suit your aesthetic and functional needs. Typically, a mega menu could be structured into several columns; this is useful for accommodating various sub-items under a single category. For example, under a “Services” category, you might want columns for “Consulting,” “Sales,” and “Support.”

You can populate each column with relevant items or widgets. Adding new items is straightforward: drag them from our widgets library into the desired column in the mega menu.

If you wish to showcase different services creatively, consider adding new blocks to your menu. Each block can represent a different service, and you can adjust the layout to fit your design.

Finalizing and Previewing Your Mega Menu

After you’ve customized your mega menu, make sure to review and confirm your changes. Deleting any unwanted default blocks or items is essential for a clean, user-friendly display. Once you're satisfied with the setup, save your changes.

To ensure everything works as expected, preview your website. Hover over the menu item, like “Pricing,” to see your mega menu in action. Each link should be functional, directing users to the correct pages, enhancing both the aesthetics and the utility of your site.
