Maindesk's global styling is a powerful feature that allows you to uniformly style various aspects of your website or funnel.
This functionality saves you from the hassle of individually customizing each element, ensuring a cohesive look throughout your site. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of using the global styling feature.
Accessing Global Styling
To begin, locate the global styling menu icon on the left side of your screen. Clicking on this icon will open up a range of options you can modify globally.
Text Styling
Modifying Headings and Paragraphs
The first option under global styling is text styling. This feature enables you to:
Change fonts for headings and paragraphs.
Adjust font size, spacing, and height.
Set a global color for text.
These changes will be reflected live across all the pages on your site.
Applying Changes to Different Elements
Global styling isn't limited to text; you can apply changes to:
Headings
Text
Quotes
Links
Mobile Settings
There is also an option to set different styling for mobile versions, optimizing the user experience on smaller devices.
Adding New Fonts
Choosing Fonts
You can either select from over a thousand types of Google fonts or upload a custom font.
Note : It’s advisable to limit your font selection to three at most to maintain branding consistency, readability, site speed, and performance. Every font added will be available site-wide in your text editor.
Color Palette Settings
Primary Color
Your site comes with a default primary color, but you can easily change it to align with your brand. Selecting a new primary color will update all elements using the global color.
Secondary Colors
Secondary colors function similarly. Once set, they’ll be the first options available when styling elements. These too are global and will update automatically if used anywhere in your design.
Main Background Color
You can also select a main background color that will be applied to all your pages.
Website Layout
Page Width and Stretch
You can control the width of your pages and how stretched your design appears.
Layout Style
Choose between full-width or boxed layouts to suit your design preference.
Page Styling
Background Customization
This option allows you to add a background image or color to your entire page. However, remember that these styles apply only to the page you are currently working on.
